PDP Governors Schedule Emergency Meeting Over Nyesom Wike's Removal

The People's Democratic Party has scheduled an emergency meeting to hold on Friday to discuss River's State Governor Wike's removal by an Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, and also to the discuss the decision of the Akwa Ibom State Election Petition Tribunal which had ordered a rerun in 18 Local Government Areas in the State.

The former ruling party feels threatened because the two States involved are Oil rich and would play an important role in bankrolling the party in its strategy to re-engineer and come back to relevance in the 2019 elections.
