The Senate Committee on Ethics after investigating the petitions against the ministerial nomination of Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi was thrown into a chaos of different opinions after the report recommended that Rotimi Amaechi should not be confirmed since the petitions have gone to a higher court, and that they should await results from the court. The report of the Committee was eventually rejected, after the PDP senators worked out of the hearing. The Ministerial nomination of Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi was thereby approved.
