The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Akwa Ibom State has ordered a rerun of the Governorship election in 18 Local Government Areas in the state. The State Governor, Mr. Emmanuel Udom will however remain in office as the Governor pending the rerun. Counsel to the PDP and the APC have however vowed to take the matter to the appellate court for further judgement.
