Aso Ebi Style Inspirations for the Wedding Guest - Part 2

Hey peeps, I guess you have all returned from your owambe parties for today and you are already probably wondering what to make out of next week's aso ebi (I know its a weekly thing in these parts). Worry not because I've got you covered (wink).

The matriarch of the Awolowo family, Chief Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo, is dead.
Mama, as she is fondly called by many, died on Saturday. She was 99. She would have turned 100 on November 25 this year. First Weekly is reporting that Awolowo died shortly after a meeting on Saturday with her family members.
Yeye Oodua, as she is also popularly known, was said to have been a part of the meeting for the planning of her 100th birthday. She was until her death the chairman of Nigeria’s foremost newspaper, Nigerian Tribune. She would have turned 100 on November 25 this year. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

Sheikh Rashid Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum died of heart attack on Saturday. He was 34.
A three-day mourning period has been declared in Dubai. UAE flags will be flown at half mast during the mourning period.

“We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” the Dubai Ruler Court said as it mourned Sheikh Rashid’s death on Saturday.

Sheikh Rashid was the eldest son of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Rashid was a keen horse lover and was the owner of Zabeel Stables. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
